Electric cars generally aren’t cool. OK, so there have been some cool electric car concepts, but generally even the fastest electric sports cars don’t really have a level of performance that matches the stunning looks. However, it looks like this latest electric car concept model, the Jaguar C-X75 could be set to change all that.
On display in London last week, this concept car is perhaps one of Jaguar’s most exciting concept models. Even the looks are new and inventive, abandoning those typical Jaguar curves in favour of a more angular design, reminiscent of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. This is a step into the supercar market, just as much brawn as luxury for one.
The car itself has a range of pretty impressive statistics under the bonnet. Most interestingly, the two mini jet turbines mounted in the rear of the car, which are used to generate power for its batteries! Not quite pure electric, but with statistics reporting 29g/km of CO2 and a range of 560 miles, that seems good enough to me. Oh, and most impressive of all, this concept car can do 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds. Nice!
This 75th Anniversary Jaguar may never make it to production – but the cutting edge tech suggested exciting things to come in the car industry!
