Hyundai have given us a fun, but slightly infuriating treat. With three months still to go until the much anticipated Geneva motor show, they have released a simple and mind-blowingly ambiguous teaser of the i-Oniq concept car that they will be showing off. It is a car about which we know very little, and the arty teaser scores a hearty “0” on answering any of our questions. We don’t even know if it will be a saloon, or a hatchback, or a coupe – judging by the curves and length of this car, and the lack of defining features, it could very well be anything! It looks 3 door to us, but then again it also looks like it will levitate its way through the world, so the possibilities really are endless.
Anyway, in Hyundai’s own words, Thomas Bürkle (Hyundai’s European Chief Designer) explained that “Two strong arched curves define the silhouette of i-Oniq, creating a playful contrast between the sharp character lines and soft but muscular features.” Well, that clears that up then.
