The Aston Martin DB5 is pretty much as classic as the one liner ‘shaken not stirred’. And shaking up the model car market is a perfect 1:8 scale replica of the stunning automotive for the buying public in January 2011. The creation has been authorised by Aston Martin themselves and EON Productions, the makers of the James Bond phenomena.
The DB5 model is apparently a true and accurate representation of the real deal and even includes some of the most intricate gadgets of the car. Stand out features are the fully functioning ejector seat, working front and tail lights, and furthermore a working horn.
The best bit about it (if you are a real model construction lover) is that model pieces come in 85 weekly instalments so it’s a process that’s not going to be over quickly! Each weekly issue comes with new DB5 parts, and a magazine with behind the scenes gossip about the making of the car and the films.
Granted, it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you want to own a model version of one of the most iconic British cars, and then this magazine subscription is the one for you! The model is the perfect boy’s toy, and a great Christmas stocking filler! You probably can’t go wrong car that has machine guns that pop out of lights and working tyre slashers – yet is only 19.75cm in width.
Along with your subscription you will get the chance to win a James Bond Omega Seamaster watch as worn by Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace, a bit of a perk if you like to model build with a nice watch on your wrist.
If this sounds like your bag, you can get up-to-date with 007 here.
