The yearly London to Brighton rally took place this weekend, a real spectacle by all accounts! Each year a number (over 500 this year) of pre-1905 cars take to the roads once more to complete the journey from Hyde Park to finish up in Brighton.
The cars set off at around sunrise, with the final ones finishing at around 4:30pm; with an estimated 450 of the starting 500+ plus finishing. On top of the usual UK and overseas drivers, 26 German’s also took part in commemoration of Mercedes-Benz’s 125th anniversary.
To put it as the Royal Automobile Club does; it is “an endurance of man and machine.”
