Range Rover has officially announced the arrival of its newest and smallest model; the Evoque at the Paris Motor Show 2010.
It is hard to deny that it is a striking design, and with Land Rover collaborating with Victoria Beckham to design the interior, it certainly has a ‘Posh’ feel to it. This factor, along with the starting price of £30,000 keeps it in line with the other luxurious Land Rover models, but makes it that little bit more accessible than the ‘big’ Range Rover.
The Defender and Discovery are legends of their time, but are known for their off-roading and utility values. However, nowadays it has to be said that Land Rovers are increasingly being used for shopping, picking up the kids, and even for looking gangster in urban areas. The Evoque is just making the Land Rover more practical for what we REALLY use it for and this can only be a good thing!
Despite its new functionality I am not quite so sure that everyone will view the Posh intervention as a positive…the Evoque may be more WAG than style clad!
