The news we’ve all been awaiting, the car which will transport Kate Middleton to her Wedding to Prince William has been revealed at the Queen’s Rolls Royce Phantom! The £1 million pound Rolls Royce was chosen by Kate Middleton herself for its large windows, enabling onlookers to see her as she approaches Westminster Abbey.

Rolls Royce Phantom
The luxurious limo was a gift to the Queen to mark her Silver Jubilee in 1977, and is currently going under repair work after it was attacked by protesters in London a few months ago! The Rolls Royce Phantom has a quiet authoritative feel about it, but hidden behind that facade is a V12 engine, and a whole lot of oomph and power! It has electronically controlled 6 speed gear box, and when the accelerator is pressed the driver feels a sense of smooth endless acceleration from start to finish. It’s just a shame Kate won’t be driving it in my opinion!
The Rolls isn’t the only vehicle taking part in the wedding of the year…A horse drawn carriage will feature at the end of the ceremony, and in fact it will be the same carriage that transported Prince Charles and Diana on their wedding day.
Transport soaked in so much history is pretty exciting, and it will be interesting to see such a modern interpretation of wedding transport with the Rolls Royce, more significantly in a Royal wedding. I’ll be listening out for the V12 engine on the day, will you?
